The Women In Faith

Hi! I need to let you know that I have been struggling with a liver condition for years to come and I have been under three types of treatment last treatment was very hard, I was into the treatment for seven months with five months left to the treatment, I had become severely anemic and its good thing it was anemic then to have suicidal thoughts even though one tends to think if its a clear way out but because of my faith with my Lord it has not take me there and hope fully never. All chemotherapy are very difficult it is not as easy as one think, thank be to God for those who are healthy, unfortunately I gave birth to a beautiful girl back on the year of 84 hemorrhage and lost three pints of blood, all my families live out of state and there was no one who could of give me blood only a stranger who I was not aware because I was sedated, so the hospital took they initiative to give me blood with no ones consent therefore I contracted Hep-C with cirrhosis and had me on three type of chemo- treatment and happen to fail all treatment with a severe case of anemia. I went to a size 8 in clothes to a size 1 in one month with pop out eyes and hollow face. I couldn't even feed my self, I needed to be fed, bathe and groomed, I didn't have the strength to get up I spent days in bed and ate only cracker and water, I had no appetite, I was force to eat and would vomit all the food any way. I was scare, I thought that there was no point in return, I thought this is it I'm going to die, although that was what the enemy wanted me to think, but again I bounce back, faith is what gives me the strength and now my grand kids give me hope and strength, this is the reason for my letter, I have been living on SSI check when does not give me enough to buy myself clothes just enough to pay my bills. I continue to struggle with life along not to mention to make my kids who actually don't know to much of my illness, why burden them, and as for my grand kids their to young to understand, I am 56 years old and I don't work due to many health issues, and I am diabetic of the worst kind. For today I write about my diabetic issues some other time. For now my main concern is not having any money in which to buy Christmas gifts for both my daughter, son, and my grand daughter and grand son. Hope fully someone would be kind to tell me how can I brighten my kids day on Christmas. I have not celebrated Christmas in five years due to money issues and medical hospital issues. I would be thankful for those who have a heart on telling what can I do, being that it will be Christmas very soon and I have not be able to think clearly or do anything, for I have been in the hospital very recent. Oh! one thing I for got to mention due to doctors taking me off medicine so quickly my body went into a sepia shock and I develop toxic in my blood which causes heart failure and brain damage its bad enough I have encephalopathy, which is a sign of forgetfulness, but I am a fighter and I try not to let my illness get in the way of my life or kids life. Although there is no stopping life, God has written our day when we will leave this earth and only he know when. All I can do is pray for miracle healing and that everyone else prays for me. Thank you everyone for letting me express my thoughts. May God Bless you, there is nothing better then writing your problem out it relieves anger, sadness, confusion and any doubt anyone may have.

Single Mom Needs help!

I am a single mom of 2 teenagers, who is in dire straits right now.  My ex husband is now unemployed so my $400 from him is gone, I can't get approved for assistance from our state, there is no funds to help with bills so the agencies are tapped out, and I am a pet sitter, so I am now considered a luxury and no one is traveling.
I have tried to find a regular job, in az we have more people than jobs, apparently.  But I keep plugging away, hoping something comes.
I managed to pay the house payment, took every last cent I had, and now the water ($94.00), electric ($197)and gas bill ($124) are due for shut off. And there is no food in the house.  I have never needed a food box before, but the 2 local places who usually have them are not stocked right now. This is unbelievable!
I can't let my kids down, right now we are scared, and christmas isnt even here yet.  I don't even want to think about that right now.
Please help
God Bless,
Andrea

Christmas is Coming, What do you do!

I've been reading a lot of what people are talking or what is on people's minds. But I hate to talk about this when Halloween has not even happen but Christmas. Everyone is worried what to do for Chirstmas and what needs to happen.

Bills are piling up, food is so little, faith is going down and there is no light at the end of the tunnel...

So my friends, here are some tips that can help you find the Christmas that you want. Remember what it is, it's a celebration of life and a birthday of someone dear to us.

Find a job, weither it's part-time or full time but work needs to happen. Even if it's not what you are used to not doing but get to work. You need some type of money. Start running a garage sale or saling something you no longer need. Get that money going. Save, save a dollar or pennies or whatever and save it. Spend it before Christmas for Christmas.

Start buying extra at the grocery store. If you buy a can of green beans, buy two. Put one can a side for Christmas. Can good keep well. Included canned fruits, vegatable, meats, biscuits. Buy two of each and put one a way. This will give you the Christmas meal that you are going to prepare.

Plan your Christmas day, write it down or put it on the computer and plan it. From what you are going to do that day to what kind of gifts you want to give. Start working on that list. By having a list. This will help keep you on track and you will have a better Chritmas since you have a list. I've saved a lot of money and time by having a list.

When I go shopping, I found green table cloth for $1.99, which was normally $7.99. This was at a craft store. I took them and I will use them on Christmas day. I saw Christmas orienments for 99 cents, I will be buying one every paid until I get a pile of them.

You can get some great paper plates right now cheaply because it's the end of the summer and get them in Christmas colors, if not, take plain white plates and have your children draw on them to make them very Chrismassy...

Find games, and toys at a cheap dollar store or sometimes a garage sale. You can find some good toys. Christmas stocking stuffers. This includes people that you know that no longer want those toys.

If you live in a part of the country that has a lot of natural views and sceens. Go for an afternoon walk and collect and save lose tree branches, big folge leaves and use them as decoration. I'm sure you have some type of paint that you can use or put a ribbon around it.

I used cartoons section of the sunday paper as wrapping paper one year and everyone had a great time with it. The love the look.

Get your best clothes out and start minding them and making them look better. It's plenty of time to get that look just right.

Look for Christmas games to play on the internet. You can print it up and have fun with your family.

These are some tips that can help you have a very cheap and great Christmas.

Look, I do understand that you want to provide the best toy or the best gift. But remember, your child, friends and family will remember the warmth and fun you gave them during Christmas. Not the gift. Can you honestly tell me what kind of gift you got 5 years ago or last year.

I know that I can't.

About Lori5

well...to start from the begining.  I have found myself asking for help.  I have been to salvation Army food bank, Churchs, low income houseing, friends and family.  I feel as low as I can get.  I have 4 teenagers that have been an absolute blessing to my life and I feel as if I have failed them.  It seems the harder I try and provide a better finacial security for them it seems to fail.  This will be the first Christmas that I can not even give them a gift.  I thought of making gifts but I dont even have the money to buy the supplies to make them. I put up a tree to bring some Holiday cheer, but I have no way of placing gifts under it.  Maybe I have given them fails hope.  I ask for nothing for myself...only to put a smile on my kids face.  I need help.  Is there a Santa Claus?
